Missions

Reaching around the world

The last command that Jesus gave to His followers was to make disciples of all nations. We have a passion to see all people come to know God's love and forgiveness, beginning in our own community, spreading around the world.  We actively support missionaries and encourage all of our people to be God's witnesses wherever He leads them.

Savannah Baptist Association
There are many like-minded believers in congregations all around our area. We work together with these churches to do things that we couldn't do individually. The Savannah Baptist Assembly is a retreat center located west of Guyton that is a resource for ministry overseen by our association. The Savannah Baptist Center is a ministry downtown that serves the community in a variety of ways with one single goal: to spread the good news of God's love. Whether by offering food to a family in need or helping someone with their clothes closet, they minister to the spiritual needs of families and clients.

Clothes Closet
Our clothes closet available for anyone in our community who is in need. We accept clothes and shoes that are gently used. The clothes closet is open on Tuesdays from 9:30-11:30.
IN OUR STATE
We are part of the Georgia Baptist Mission Board which is a statewide partnership of churches serving our state in ways that are only possible by working together. Some of those ministries include:
Baptist Village- A ministry to needy senior citizens
Baxley Childrens’ Home- A ministry to children in the foster system
Georgia Baptist Children’s Homes and Family Ministries (georgiachildren.org)

IN OUR NATION
We partner with like-minded churches all around our nation as part of the largest Protestant Christian denomination in America. We help to start new churches all across the continent through the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering. That offering supports the North American Mission Board and funds missions in North America supporting 2,400+ missionary families serving across the U.S. & Canada.

Samaritan's Purse - Operation Christmas Child
Throughout the year, we collect donated items to pack shoeboxes that are sent to children worldwide. We packed almost 700 shoeboxes last year and are looking to pack even more this year. We also are moving towards being a regional drop site for shoebox gifts.
